For Advanced 3D Rendering I have to create an environment and specifically I have decided to go with La Alhambra de Granada.
The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It was originally a small fortress in 889 and then ignored until its ruins were renovated in the mid 11th century by the Moorish emir Mohammed Ben Al-Ahmar, building its current palace and walls. it was converted into a royal palace in 1333 by Yusuf I.
At some point after 1527 the building was allowed to fall into disrepair for centuries, the buildings being occupied by squatters, it wasn't until the 19th century that restoration started.
Because the building fell into such disrepair, squatters damaging the building, wear and tear, damaged by the elements, the building to would seem to of taken a lot of damage causing the possibility that it may have lost some of it original features.
The Alhambra seems to have several key points of interest but my favorite is the Court of the Myrtles.

Court of the Myrtles acted as a symbol of power, because water was usually in short supply and the technology required to keep the pool full was expensive and difficult.
